CREATIVE CAREERS

Solihull CEP are now in our 3rd year hosting our annual Creative Careers Conference – an unmissable event designed to inspire young people and emerging professionals who are passionate about exploring careers in the creative sector.

Whether you're interested in film, TV, music, performance, literature, visual arts, or arts management, this dynamic event brings you a range of exciting opportunities to learn from industry experts. Through a series of panel discussions, and live performances, attendees gain invaluable insights into the diverse pathways available within the creative industries.

Previous guest speakers have included some of the most prominent names in the Midlands' creative scene, such as:

  • Jasmine Gardosi – Birmingham Poet Laureate

  • Daniel Alexander – TV & Film Director, Daniel Alexander Films

  • Sabra Kahn – Executive Director of Sampad

  • Lewis Clements – Promo Director, Channel 4

  • Ian Rogers - Founder & Festival Director, Solihull Summerfest

  • Ruth Millington - Art Historian, Curator & Author

Each year we run a schools event during the day, with over 100 young people joining us, and for the past 2 years, we have also run an evening event for all to access.
